Bioware

A preserved microbial culture intended for controlled microbiological studies and reference use.
Suitable for culture-method verification, identification workflows, media performance assessment, and laboratory quality control.

Technical Specifications

OrganismClostridium perfringens
Material TypeMicrobial Strain
Preservation FormFreeze dried pellet
Morphological CharacteristicsThe diameter of the colony is 1-2mm, circular, with irregular edges, opaque, yellow on the front, raised in the middle, smooth on the surface, moist texture, easy to pick up, G+(blue purple), rod-shaped
Culture Method① Prepare one 18mm test tube liquid culture medium, approximately 10mL (placed in anaerobic environment for 24 hours of deoxygenation in advance); ② Disinfect the surface of the ampoule tube, open it in a safe cabinet, burn the top with an alcohol lamp, quickly add sterile water to the burning area to break it, and then use tweezers to knock it open; ③ Transfer approximately 0.5mL of liquid culture medium into a freeze-drying tube, dissolve it thoroughly, and then transfer it back to the liquid culture medium in the test tube; ④ Place the liquid test tube under the specified "culture conditions" mentioned above for cultivation. If the bacterial liquid is turbid or there is a large amount of bacterial growth at the bottom, it can be used.
